VISUAL CULTURE

Jean Fisher is a writer and artist who divides her time between London and New York. She is the former editor of Third Text, editor of the anthologies Global Visions (Kala Press, 1994) and Reverberations (Jan Van Eyck, 2000), and author of Vampire in the Text, Narratives of Contemporary Art (2003). She is co-editor with Gerardo Mosquera of Over Here: International Perspectives on Art and Culture, Camb., Mass.: MIT Press, 2005, and has written extensively for numerous periodicals. She is currently Professor in Fine Art at Middlesex University, London.
