As Leverhulme Research Fellow 2002-2004 Claire Pajaczkowska wrote six chapters in the following books: ‘Urban Memory/ Suburban Oblivion’ in Urban Memory, ed Mark Crinson (Routledge, London &New York, 2005); ‘Perversion and the Parisian Avant Garde 1912-1916’ in Perversion: Psychoanalytic Perspectives, eds L. Nobus (Karnac, London, 2005); ‘Stuff and Nonsense: the Complexity of Cloth’ in Textile: The Journal of Cloth and Culture (Berg, London, 2005); ‘Vermeer: The Mundane and the Sublime’ in Vermeer, Beyond Art History ed Griselda Pollock (2006); ‘The Garden of Eden: Sex, Shame and Knowledge’ in Shame and Sexuality, eds C.Pajaczkowska & I.Ward (London: Routledge, 2007, forthcoming); and ‘On Humming: The Legacy of Marion Milner,’ eds L.Caldwell & A.Joyce (Routledge, forthcoming). She is completing a book on the Sublime, editing an issue of Textile on string, and a conference on Sex, Death and Laughter in conjunction with the Freud Museum.
